Speech Pathology
Communication is More Than Just Words

At Yellow Door Kids, we believe every child deserves to feel understood — and to confidently connect with the world around them. That’s where Speech Pathology comes in. Speech Pathologists (also known as Speechies!) help kids build the skills they need to communicate, interact, and thrive in their own unique way — whether through speech, gestures, visuals, or alternative communication methods.

What Happens in a Session?
Every child is different, and so are our sessions. We use play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches that are engaging, evidence-based, and child-led. Sessions might include games, books, sensory play, visuals, and real-life routines — whatever helps your child learn best.
We also work closely with you — the parents and caregivers — to provide strategies and confidence for home, school, and everyday life.
Why It Matters

Speech Pathology isn’t just about speech — it’s about giving your child the tools to build relationships, independence, and self-expression.
When communication clicks, everything else starts to fall into place.
