How long are the group sessions?
Our group sessions run for 60 minutes. We provide individualised written feedback following the group therapy session for each child.
What is an intake session?
For Group Therapy, an intake session is where you and your child come to the clinic to experience what a session at Yellow Door looks and feels like. Parents participate in this session and your child will have a chance to meet the clinician which helps to reduce the anxiety of coming to a new group. The other purpose of an intake session is to ensure that your child is placed in a group where they can have a successful social connection with peers.

For Individual therapy, an intake session consists of a telehealth/in person 30 minute session with your child's clinician to discuss strengths, challenges and concerns. The initial consultation is parent only.
Is there parking at your location?
Yes there is parking available in the side streets or on Sydney Road
Can I use my NDIS funding?
Yes you can use your NDIS funding for all of our services at Yellow Door Kids if you are plan or self managed.

Medicare and private health insurance funding can be used for individual therapy supports. Please check with your provider for group therapy rebates. Medicare does not provide rebates for group therapy sessions
Do parents/carers attend the sessions?
